Nestled high in the Prokletije Mountains above Plav, Hridsko Jezero (Hrid Lake) lies at 1,970 metres above sea level, surrounded by dense spruce, fir and beech forests, including rare Molika pine. Its crystal-clear, emerald water reflects the surrounding mountain landscape, inspiring local legends of mountain fairies. Reached by a 2–3 hour hike from Babino Polje or Vusanje through forests and meadows, the lake offers quiet walking paths, scenic views and a strong sense of untouched nature, making it a key stop along the Wood Route in Prokletije.
