DANUBE WOOD(s)ROUTE

Richness of Danube forests and wood cultural heritage (tangible, intangible) – way towards sustainable green tourism embedded in European cultural route of Danube timber

Our Vision

To preserve and promote the unique richness of the Danube Region’s forests and wood heritage by transforming them into a source of pride, knowledge, and sustainable opportunities for local communities.

Our Mission

To safeguard biodiversity and cultural traditions while creating innovative eco-tourism products and services. By connecting nature, people, and history, we foster responsible use of local resources and strengthen transnational cooperation across the Danube.

Our Process

Through joint mapping, strategy building, pilot actions, and partnerships across 10+ countries, we ensure that both natural and cultural assets are valued and protected. Collaboration, training, and shared tools empower communities to shape a greener, more resilient future.
