The Danube Wood(s) Route project was presented during the International Tourist Guide Day 2026, held in Varna, Bulgaria. The event brought together tourism professionals and stakeholders from across the region, providing an opportunity to showcase the project’s vision and results.
As Lead Partner, Helena Cvenkel (BSC Kranj, Slovenia) introduced the overall concept of the Danube Wood(s) Route, highlighting its goals to connect forests, cultural heritage, and traditional craftsmanship across the Danube Region.
In addition, Chris Mihov from Varna Economic Development Agency (VEDA), Bulgaria, presented the Danube Wood(s) Route web application, demonstrating how users can explore locations, discover stories, and navigate the Route through an interactive digital platform.
