Katun Goleš is one of the warmest, most welcoming katuns on Bjelasica  a place where traditional highland life meets modern eco-sustainability. Families here have revived old summer dwellings and transformed them into friendly guest cabins, offering visitors the chance to experience mountain hospitality shaped by simplicity, comfort and close contact with nature. Guests are greeted with homemade meals, local dairy products and the kind of quiet, informal kindness that defines life on Bjelasica.

Wooden cabins, fences, benches and terraces reflect the craftsmanship of the families who built them, using local timber in ways that echo the old Bjelasica style. The atmosphere is calm and homely  simple wooden interiors, warm meals, and evenings spent under open skies make Goleš a favourite stop for hikers, cyclists and families looking for an authentic rural experience. Guests at Katun Goleš can experience authentic pastoral lifestyle: milking goats or sheep, tasting homemade cheese, collecting forest herbs, and exploring nearby trails through spruce forests and meadows.

From the katun, hikers can explore easy circular walks through meadow and spruce forest, or take longer marked routes toward Biogradsko Lake, Zekova Glava peak, or other katuns such as Laništa and Vranjak. The trails are suitable for families, nature lovers, and photographers offering sweeping views, wildflower fields in summer, and frequent encounters with grazing livestock. For more experienced hikers, full day routes connect Goleš to the Biogradska Gora ridge system and panoramic viewpoints above the lake. Cycling routes also pass near the katun, making it a convenient rest point for MTB touring across Bjelas
