Katun Šiška is a classic high mountain katun on Bjelasica, located on wide pastures surrounded by spruce and fir, above Ševarinsko Jezero. Together they form an iconic landscape of Bjelasica’s seasonal pastoral life.

Cabins in Katun Šiška follow the traditional style: low wooden structures made of spruce beams, with simple joinery and shingle roofs. Wood is central to daily life, used for buildings, fences, tools, and cheese making equipment. Many shepherd families still use the katun during summer, and several households now offer rustic accommodation and traditional meals to visitors.

Below the katun lies Ševarinsko Jezero, a small, quiet glacial lake surrounded by grasslands and forest patches, suitable for families, photographers, and hikers.

Katun Šiška is a key point on hiking and MTB routes connecting Biogradsko Lake, Katun Vranjak, Pešića Lake, and the peaks of Crna Glava and Zekova Glava. The terrain is gentle, with options for extended routes toward ridge summits.
