Pešića Lake is a glacial lake on Bjelasica, set in a high cirque beneath Zekova Glava and Crna Glava. Surrounded by alpine grass, juniper, and scattered spruce, it has clear, cold snowmelt water and changing colors, making it a favorite stop for hikers and photographers.
By the lake lies a traditional summer settlement where shepherd families once lived. The katun retains its authenticity through wooden cabins built from hand cut spruce, simple joinery, and split-rail fences.
A few dozen meters from the lake lies the Pešić family property, set in the high nmountain landscape of Bjelasica. The family preserves a traditional way of life, including organic food production, livestock breeding, dairy processing, collection of forest products and medicinal herbs, and seasonal residence on mountain pastures. Although tourism has not yet begun, prerequisites exist for traditional wooden accommodation and customary mountain activities.
The area around Pešića Lake is rich in forest timber and biodiversity, including wild blueberries, mushrooms, mountain herbs, and summer pastures. Former shepherds’ paths now form hiking and trekking trails, with possibilities to develop routes toward Pešića Lake, Zekova Glava, and Crna Glava, as well as cycling connections within the Bjelasica MTB circuit toward Vranjak, Šiška, Goleš, and the upper meadows above Kolašin.
